Abstract :
The paper considers an ellipsoid geometry for bistatic SAR with geostationary illuminator and LEO receivers, and deduces its ground resolution formula. In simulation experiments, the ground resolution differences between plane geometry case and ellipsoid geometry case are given, and the forward-looking ground resolution is also been given when the LEO receiver moves along the horizontal baseline direction. Several conclusions are drawn.
