Abstract
In this paper, the application of simultaneous multi-slice excitation and acquisition technique in T1-Weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at low field scanner was investigated. The solutions for simultaneous multi-slice excitation with different thickness, and reduction of long T1 effects on the separation of overlapped slices were discussed. Computer simulations and experimental results show that these methods can effectively solve the limitation of slice number within a relatively short repetition time in low-field T1-weighted MRI.
