Abstract :
The paper introduces a portable system to detect carotid artery´s diameter. With the help of FPGA and high-speed data transmission of USB, the system realizes ultrasound transmitter, amplifier circuit, digital signal processing, data preservation and display. The diameter of carotid artery is directly shown on screen by MFC programming. In the end, the meaning of detecting carotid artery´s diameter and IMT is proposed, and the IMT measurement is preliminarily achieved.
