Abstract :
Multi-view video coding (MVC) is one of the newest video compression standards, which has better compression efficiency than single view video coding. As the coding scheme exploits spatial, temporal and inter-view dependability for this scope, it leads the reconstructed multi-view video (MVV) become worse when transmitted in error-prone networks. To solve this problem, an effective error concealment (EC) method for MVC is proposed in this paper. The proposed method conceals a corrupted block by combining a few candidate blocks in intra-view reference frames or inter-view reference frames. The experimental results show that the proposed method has better concealment effect if using the inter-view reference frames effectively in B-view.
