  • Abstract
Ultra wideband synthetic aperture-based radar imaging via adaptive signal processing is proposed for hemorrhagic stroke detection. The efficiency of the method is evaluated via simulation results corresponding to a 3D head model consisting of four dispersive layers. A semi-spherical synthetic array is formed around the model by moving two ultra wideband Vivaldi antennas. A broadband version of minimum variance processing is implemented in the frequency domain as the image reconstruction unit followed by further post-processing of the signals by taking into account the coherence factor.
