Abstract :
This paper presents a set up for photonic synthesis of sub-THz signals using a single QW mode locked laser and tunable Fabry-Perot fiber filters. Millimeter wave and sub-THz signals at frequencies multiple of the mode-locked laser (9.92 GHz in this case) are obtained through selective filtering of the optical spectrum of the lasers always if enough optical gain is provided and the bandwidth of the photodiode is sufficient for the sub-THz frequency to be delivered.
