Abstract :
In this paper, a new passive localization algorithm based on beamforming techniques is proposed. The distance to the target is obtained by triangulation using a number of bearings estimated at different time periods along a track. The proposed algorithm has been evaluated on field-trial data where good range estimation performance has been shown.
