Abstract
We proposed the red-green-blue multiplexer with optical waveguides to achieve a miniaturization of the next generation small-sized projection-type displays. The designed multiplexer has three directional couplers. The average efficiency for each RGB output light is as high as 96%, and the size is as small as 0.06×6 mm.
