Abstract :
This paper intends to investigate on the feasibility of EV\´s widely use by estimating the differences between fuel vehicles and electric vehicles. With the assumption of technology stability and pure electric engine, we derive certain number of data through several researches to support our model of cost estimating, in which we mainly discussed the environmental and economic aspects. For environmental case, we calculate the comparative cost which corresponds to the profit or loss per electric vehicles (EV) instead of internal - combustion engines vehicles (ICEV). For economic case, we estimate the sum of cost generated by each kind of vehicle, including running cost, energy consumption cost and charging in fracture cost. Accordingly we propose a theoretical model called "METI" to analyze overall effects from all aspects, which combines the theory of life circle with the "MET matrix analysis"; method. The results show a clear effectiveness of our model which can be a tool to help governments and manufactures make decisions.
