  • Abstract
    In this paper we consider the classic Moore eigenstructure assignment algorithm and adapt it for problems of optimal pole placement. We introduce an unconstrained nonlinear optimization algorithm to obtain a gain matrix that delivers robust pole placement or minimum gain. We introduce a MATLABR® routine to implement the algorithm, and compare its performance against other pole placement methods from the literature.
