  • Abstract
This paper aims to present a strategy to reduce the disturbance to customers who are online newsletter subscribers. Using traditional methods, many customers receive unwanted newsletters or information sent by business sectors, resulting in time-consuming and wasteful resource consumption, moreover, the customer´s privacy is threatened. Our proposed strategy relies on the fact that a customer has the right to receive or to not receive information under any circumstance, even if the customer has subscribed to this a service. Our approach forces the sending party (business sector) to notify customers by sending a short metadata about the newsletter to be sent. This allows customers to take the time to review and decide whether to receive the full newsletter. The results of our experiment show that the measurement of resource saving on the customer side shows that our proposed approach could drastically reduce the amount of wasteful storage. The paper presents ethical business factors that influence ethical business value creation including relevance, responsibility, green business, business intelligence, service, and modular architecture.
