  • Abstract
In micro-scale systems, temperature measurements concern the detection of a low level signal from a very small area in the presence of high noise level. A Pyroelectric transducer seems the best compromise between dimensions (being passive system it doesn´t require power supply), sensitivity, time responses and large scale of integration In this paper we take into consideration the application of ferroelectric polymer in micro-fluidic systems with emphasis on pyroelectric transducer technology and measurements. Indeed, the operating temperature range is suitable for the most biological applications.
