Abstract :
Power quality problems are a serious concern for electrical power users considering the negative influence that these phenomena may have on the electrical equipment and the utility bill. That is why more solutions are required for measuring the power quality parameters. This paper presents a low-cost approach based on an inexpensive Texas Instruments RISC microprocessor and frequency analysis for constant measuring and monitoring of specific parameters.
