Abstract
There are different types of ocean waves but among them wind generated waves have the highest energy concentration. The power in a wave is proportional to the square of amplitude and period of the wave. And the amplitude and period is related to wind speed. When enough wave observations are available, it is possible to determine the wave power directly from the data. But in absence of sufficient wave observations wave profile prediction and wave power forecasting processes are used. For these purpose there are several methods to predict and forecast. In this paper we have designed the different wave profiles and forecasted the wave power using a simplified method.
