Abstract :
Biogas is very well alternate of natural gas. Like other third world countries Bangladesh is an agro based country and almost 80% of her population directly or indirectly depends on agriculture. So converting the waste material into energy is economically beneficial. This paper presents a comparative study of biogas generation from different sources like kitchen waste, poultry manner, green grass, cow dung, fish waste which are available in Bangladesh and helps us to determine which waste is better to produce biogas among these. This research work was carried out in the “Thermal Engineering Lab” of the department of Mechanical Engineering in Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh.
