Abstract
Energy is one of the major concerns for the increasing future of any nation and electricity is the most useful form of energy. Bangladesh enjoys an electricity distribution of 42% only. Bangladesh has a great potential for biogas production in respect of the availability of raw materials and climatic conditions and it is well substitute of natural gas. It is a great opportunity to use biogas as fuel of generator to generate electricity. This paper describes a design and detail analysis of a biogas based power plant for commercial usage. The cost analysis reveals that the proposed design is cost effective for Bangladesh.
