Abstract
Climate change is undoubtedly one of the most ubiquitous and critical issues of the 21st century, demanding exigent attention to save the planet from global warming and its ominous effects. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) identified the potential threat global warming poses, which led to the formation of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Since its implementation, UNFCCC has made major contributions to improving the global climate change scenario. This paper attempts to shed light on the measures undertaken so far to combat global warming, the successes and failures, and the future projects.
