Abstract
To apply the stepped chirp signal to the actual wideband phase arrayed radar system, the ghosts on the range profile when wide-angle scanning, must be solved. First the ghosts, which emerge since the aperture effect for the stepped Chirp wideband phased array radar, are traversed, both the position and the amplitude of the ghosts are calculated in this paper, and then a digital compensation method is presented to minimize the ghost. Simulation result indicates that the proposed method can suppress the ghosts effectively.
