Abstract :
To improve the robustness of modified scatterer density dependent (MSDD) detector, a scatterers integrator based on the maximum variance of order statistics (SI-MVOS) is proposed. Firstly, the number of scatterers of target is estimated based on the maximum variance of order statistics. Secondly, the energy of estimated scatterers is integrated to form the detection statistic. Its detection performance is analyzed, results show that the SI-MVOS estimates the number of scatterers adaptively according to the observations, and it can improve performance and robustness of detector effectively.
