Abstract
In this paper, we address the problem of matched illumination waveforms design based on the prior knowledge of the target scattering center models. Firstly, the properties of the target scattering model are discussed. Then, based on these properties, matched waveforms design on the principles of minimizing minimum mean square error (MMSE) and maximizing signal-to-clutter-plus-noise ratio (SCNR) are investigated. Finally, simulation results are shown that the matched illumination waveform increase the output SCNR significantly.
