Abstract
The power quality problem occurs due to the nonlinear load connected in the system. There are different methods have been used for reducing harmonic contents in the system. Among them optimization technique and shunt active power filters are commonly used method. But, the optimization technique is only suited for eliminating the higher order harmonics, whereas in shunt active power filters, solving of SHE equation is very difficult. By considering this drawback, here a new method for eliminating harmonics using neuro fuzzy feed back controller is proposed. The harmonics contents present in the system are calculated by comparing the reference voltage with harmonic voltage for different time from the graph. The harmonic contents are eliminated by using frequency and switching angles. Implementation is done by using MATLAB.
