Abstract :
In this paper we present a new novel approach for the speed control of an IM using optimal controller with Kalman filter. The field oriented control of IM needs the accurate mathematical model of IM, but it is very difficult to develop an accurate mathematical model. This controller can also estimate and compensate the general disturbances which include the unknown internal dynamics and external disturbances by using the Kalman filter. Simulations show that the above control strategy has better static and dynamic performances.
