Abstract
Current sources are vital part of many applications such as bias networks, low power reference, ramp generation, LED driver, temperature sensing etc. Programmable current sources are required for many industrial applications. Generalized Impedance Convertor (GIC) circuit is basically used to simulate negative impedance and to simulate inductors in filter circuit. This circuit can also be used to create constant current output. This is a new application of the GIC circuit. This paper carries out analysis of basic GIC current source. The simulation is carried out using Tina 7 Simulation software.
