Abstract
A new scenario of the z-pinch generation as a result of the vortex dynamics with the azimuthal magnetic field from the diapason 47πne me c2 >> Bθ 2 >> 4πni mi c2 is considered. The presence of the electron density peak on the axis of the filament vortex structure leads to the ion acceleration towards the axis and results in the forming of a dense and hot core of the z-pinch. The final ion energy in the core is essentially restricted by collisions of the energetic ions with the magnetized electrons. It is shown that the dense and hot plasma core could be disrupted on the picosecond times by the inclusion of the ion-ion collisions, which is in a qualitative agreement with the modern high-resolution measurements.
