Abstract :
Beam Breakup Instabilities(BBU) resulting from the interaction between electron beams and accelerating cavities will deteriorate beam quality, and transverse impedance reflects the degree of such interaction. This paper describes our research on transverse impedance of three different induction accelerating cavities. First the so-called coaxial bi-wires method was applied to measure the three cavities, then MAFIA code was used to simulate these cavities, finally measured data and simulation results are compared and found fit each other well.
