Abstract :
This paper is a research on new laser triggered multi-stage switch developed by China Institute of Atomic Energy. This switch specially uses V/N gaps instead of triggered gaps of common switches, which have formed multi channels to reduce the inductance. Electric field simulation calculation is used for optimized designing to make the distribution of electric field reasonable. The result of the experiment shows that the delayed time of laser triggered switch is about 40ns, the time jitter is less than 3ns, over 4 channels can be formed at every stage, the rise time of output pulse is less 15ns.
