  • Abstract
Method of space-resolving calorimetry of a high-power electron beam has been developed. Picture of thermal radiation from front surface of the beam receiver is taken by absolutely calibrated CCD detector in visible and near IR range and then transformed into spatial distribution of the beam energy deposition into target. The method is particulary useful under high loads (∼1 kJ/cm2 energy density), up to regimes with noticeable erosion of the beam receiver.
