Abstract :
This paper proposes a new gas accelerator which accelerates a projectile to high velocity along a tough wave guide by dielectrically ignited explosion wave. Though any explosives would be a potential candidate for generating pressure wave along the wave guide, a charge whose reaction products is as light as possible should be desirable from the view point of attaining high velocity. An example of such explosives is produced by mixing properly with water, ammonium nitrate and alcohol. This charge will be called WANA in short in this paper.
