Abstract
The environmental problem in the earth such as acid rain is one of the important problem to be solved. Large amount of NOX is produced by electric power plants, ironworks and diesel engines, which is the serious problem of the environment. The removal of NOX has been studied by using intense pulsed relativistic electron beam (IREB). With the initial NO concentration of 100 ppm and pressure of 120 kPa, ∼ 50 % of NO is removed by 10 shots of IREB. The NOX removal efficiency does not depend on the initial NO concentration and the electron energy.
