Abstract :
Results of the experiments at the modified GOL-3-II facility are presented. High-power electron beam (1MeV, 30kA, 8 µs) with the total energy content of up to 200 kJ heats the dense plasma in foilless regime in 12-m open trap with partly corrugated magnetic field. Stability of the beam-plasma system and improvement of plasma energy confinement are discussed.
