Abstract
An intense relativistic electron beam with a duration of 0.8 ns was obtained by four-stage multi-cavity autoacceleration. The electron beam with an energy of 500 keV and a duration of 12 ns was injected into the coaxial cavities connected tandem with decreasing lengths. And electrons in the last one 16th of its duration was accelerated. The energy of the most accelerated part was 1.1 MeV when a single cavity was used at each stage. The energy increased to 1.3 MeV when the same length cavities were added to each stage.
