Abstract :
An analytical model based on the experiments was developed to describe divergence angle of ion bunch produced by irradiation of an ultrashort laser pulse onto thin foil. Ion divergence is reciprocally decreased again ion energy in wide experimental parameter region. A modified plasma expansion model described the dependence of maximal proton energy on target thickness and material density, which agree with experimental data.
