Abstract
Development of high-power neodymium lasers has been carried out at our institute for more than 30 years. General goal of these investigations is to create an instrument for studying of the physics of high energy density. The initiative of the development of this line at RFNC-VNIIEF belongs to academician Khariton, who was a Scientific Leader of RFNC-VNIIEF for long time. This year we celebrated his 100-year jubilee. Figure 1 shows a group of scientists, who established VNIIEF laser school together with academician Khariton. This report presents main results of the works carried out at RFNC-VNIIEF in the period of 1991-2004.
