Abstract
The 12MeV linear induction accelerator (12 MeV LIA) consists of an injector and 32 accelerating cells assembled in eight blocks, and a focus section leading electron beam to the high Z metal target to produce intense bremsstrahlung X-ray pulse. This paper describes the diagnostic techniques used in 12MeV LIA. In total there are approximately 41 beam diagnostic channels and 60 pulse power signals which are recorded on the oscilloscope, a subsystem of time interval measurement between the accelerator triggering and the X-ray producing which can measure and adjust the time of X-ray producing, a X-ray spot size measurement device. The results from several measurements and the data analysis are presented.
