Abstract :
Modern X-ray imaging applications require low noise and power, high rate readout front-end electronics. A widely used, dedicated for semiconductor detectors analog part of readout front-end architecture consists with charge sensitive amplifier and pulse shaping amplifier. To meet the requirements of pixel applications the simple architectures of front-end electronics and used amplifiers, low power dissipation and occupied chip area are demanded. We present the design of readout front-end electronics dedicated for pixel detectors, based on an inverter amplifier. It is characterized by very low power dissipation level P = 13 μW, low noise performance ENC = 59e- rms and small occupied chip area A = 850 μm2.
