Abstract :
Many successive improvements of the charge pump principle introduced by Dickson have paved the way to efficient integrated DC-DC converters such as the one introduced by Ker. However the rapid optimization and prototyping of such circuits have not yet been proposed. This paper introduces a model of the Ker charge pump when loaded by a resistor and a two fold optimization method: area or efficiency/area. Simulations show the validity of the approach and the good accuracy of both the model and the method.
