  • Abstract
    In this paper, a novel structure consisted of single split resonant ring (SSRR) and stepped-impedance resonant (SIR) is proposed. The structure is etched on ground to fabricating a compact band pass filter (BPF) cell. Besides, fractal geometry is used on low impedance line of SIR to improve the performances of filter and realize miniaturization. Finally, a high performances BPF was designed by cascading two unit cells with the third Koch island fractal geometries. It has been simulated, fabricated, and successfully tested. The measurement results are in good agreement with simulation.
