Abstract :
In this paper, the equivalent dipole moment (EDM) method is employed to reduce computational time in the time-domain combined field integral equation (TD-CFIE) to compute transient electromagnetic scattering. Each element is viewed as a dipole model so that the computation of impedance matrix elements is simplified significantly. The time domain EDM method accelerates the computation of impedance matrix elements. Numerical results about the electromagnetic scattering from perfect electric conductor (PEC) objects are given to verify the proposed method.
