Abstract :
A novel R-band (220GHz-325GHz) conical horn antenna fed with rectangle waveguide is presented. The structure of conical horn is easier for manufacture by the technology of cutting deep conical hole, and the antenna fed with standard rectangle waveguide is convenient for connection. In this paper, the operating principle is analyzed, and the measured results show that this antenna has constant gain of 19dB±1.5dB and the returnloss is better than 15dB in the bandwidth from 220GHz to 325GHz.
