Abstract :
In this paper, a novel broadband omnidirectional vertical polarization antenna with low profile is designed for wireless communication system. The compact planar antenna shows miniature size while the antenna has omnidirectional radiation in the H-plan. It exhibits good radiation performance and broadband. In the process of design, the antenna´s characteristics are analyzed by the full-wave electromagnetic simulator - Ansoft HFSS v.10.0. The key parameters are optimized and good characteristics have been achieved.
