Abstract :
This paper presents a mathematical model for wavelength assignment to minimize number of wavelengths needed in wavelength reusable multi-carrier distributed (WRMD) wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) mesh networks. The result shows that reusing the carrier wavelength reduces the number of wavelengths needed WRMD-WDM networks.
