Abstract :
This study aims to identify, describe and analyze underlying factors that are perceived to be important to the adoption and implementation of Green IT. The research is based on open and exploratory method. Case study is the main approach in this study and a combination of quantitative and qualitative research method has been implemented for data collection and analysis of the research study. One online questionnaire and some interviews were our primary data collection tools. Among 12 key factors, identified in the literature, Organizational Slack, compatibility and competitive pressure are the most significant factors influencing Green IT adoption process in two organizations we studied.
