Abstract :
This paper proposes a new islanding detection. Proposed anti islanding protection algorithm is based on frequency and phase variation during islanding. Effectiveness and great capability of this new method is simulated and shown. In despite of previous methods, proposed algorithm is insensitive to other phenomena and no false trip is seen. No additional hardware and no complicated processing are needed. The proposed algorithm is quite implementable to nowadays power systems. A 0.66MW 690V wind turbine is simulated and modeled in MATLABSIMULINK.
