Abstract
Parallel connected operation of flywheel energy storage system(FWES-CELL) with high speed network communication system was proposed. 4,000 of FWES-CELLs are connected with the network operation based on the high speed network system and the power demand operation will be derived within 50ms to the all FWESs from the main control unit system. Feasibility study of network system configuration and protocol analysis were discussed. As the result, EtherCAT protocol was applied to meet the data transfer requirement with 4,000 of FWES-CELLs, also IEEE 1588 is combined to synchronize the internal clock of each control unit.
