Abstract
A family of differential DC-DC converter mode three-level (TL) single stage inverters is proposed in this paper. The inverter is constructed by input side in parallel and output in series with two absolutely identical bi-directional TL DC-DC converters. The novel inverters have the advantage of low voltage stress on the switches, strong load adaption ability, good dynamic performance, wide range of input voltage, etc. This article mainly discusses differential buck converter mode TL inverter. The operation principle of the inverter is investigated, theoretical waveforms are shown, and relevant formulas are deduced. The dual closed loop control strategy is also designed in this paper. The results of the simulation indicate the correctness of the new topology and control strategy.
