Abstract :
A novel sound localization design using arrayed integrate and fire neuron circuits is discussed in this paper. This method is inspired from barn owl´s unique method of locating prey. Unlike most of the existing techniques, it is computation free. System structure, experiment and simulation results, and analysis are described. A three-level hierarchical design is used to improve accuracy for a large amount without significant increase of area.
