Abstract
Integrated Isolated Power System (IPS) can provide instantaneous high-energy for pulsed power loads, which have considerable influence on power quality. This paper builds models for IPS, pulsed power loads and intermediate energy storage module (IESM) in PSCAD™. The impact of pulsed power loads with different rated power on IPS is examined in this paper. It is also shown that the propulsion coordination can be used to further reduce the impact of pulsed power load on IPS.
