Abstract :
Multi-car elevator system is a revolutionary new technology for high-rise buildings, promising outstanding economic benefits. In this paper, it is analyzed the technical conditions, relevant parameters and engineering implements of the overstepping control in loop type elevator. By mean of mathematical analysis, the probability and the times are discussed which the follow car oversteps antecedence car under the same floor condition. It is proved that the more passengers on a car, the maximum number of overstepping times is smaller when the elevator floors retain constant; It is also proved the more floors, the maximum number of overstepping times is larger when the passengers on a car retain constant. In addition, it is proposed that the probability and the times which the follow car oversteps antecedence car under different floors conditions, then the quantification and simulation have been done. All of these studies are benefit to enhance the trip overtaking and engineering implementation of loop type elevators.
