Abstract :
Na Internet, On the Internet, the devices are addressed through their IP addresses, however, the IP is linked to its physical location. This article presents the IPGeoMap - web software capable of geographically locating IP addresses, quantifying them, classifying them and presenting the results of these operations on a map. The proposal for the IPGeoMap is that it serve as a support software in the decision making process, considering that it is proposed to provide a general vision in situations that involve the need for elaborating a map of geographic distribution tendencies and patterns of Internet addresses. The IPGeoMap was applied to the mapping of attacks (different types of malware) on Brazilian governmental organizations.
