Abstract :
This paper proposes a cooperative game to perform a fair resource allocation for the L1-VPN (Virtual Private network) based cooperative communication networks. In the considered system, the layer 1 virtual private network (L1-VPN) framework allows clients to directly provision their own services without employing expensive infrastructures. There are two resource management models, dedicated and shared. The L1-VPN with resource limitation is willing to seek cooperative relaying only if the resource achieved through cooperation is not lower than that achieved without cooperation by demanding the same amount of resource. We formulate this L1-VPN fair resource sharing problem as a Fair Resource Allocation (FRA). The FRA results in shared model are fair in that all VPNs could experience better performance than if they work in another rule.
